Wow! What an incredible response to our Red, White, and Blue Game! Thanks to our amazing community, we raised over $1,000 and collected a huge table full of donations for our school’s Backpack Program. Your generosity will go a long way in helping meet the needs of students across our district. ❤️💙

Beginning with this years junior class, all 9-11 graders will need 75 hours of community service to graduate high school. While Hillcrest High School will provide some opportunities for community service, students are also encouraged to participate in community service opportunities outside of school. Please note that when the school shares community service opportunities, students are not required to participate—it is up to each student and their parents or guardians to decide which activities to join. Community service hours can begin during the summer after students complete 8th grade. To receive credit, students must complete and return a Community Service Log to the high school office each semester. The Lawrence County Cooperative Extension Service presented their pumpkin program to Hillcrest 6th graders on Tuesday and Wednesday. Students learned all kinds of fascinating pumpkin facts and estimated the number of seeds their pumpkins possibly had. They weighed their pumpkins, measured its height, and found their pumpkin's circumference. Finally, students got their hands dirty and counted the pumpkin seeds to see if their estimates were correct.

FBLA would like to remind all community members that we will have a free showing of Halloweentown at the Lynn City Park tonight at 7:15, following the Red, White, and Blue games. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the October breeze and a family-friendly movie under the stars! Concessions will be available. See you there!

Sawyer Hill competed today in the Overall State Golf Championship at Pleasant Valley Country Club in Little Rock. The event was as close to a PGA event as a high school player could get. The course was very challenging but in awesome condition. This was a very special event, and we are proud he was a part of it. Congrats to Sawyer on a great golf season. School pictures will be Monday October 20th. Do not send money with your student. A proof and order from will be sent home at a later date.

The Hillcrest School District will resume classes on Tuesday, October 14. All certified staff will be back on campus tomorrow, Monday, October 13. We hope that everyone has enjoyed their fall break, which stretches through tomorrow; for all students.

Jr boys practice schedule 10/7-10/10: Tues-Thurs 1:00-2:30, Fri 10:30-12. All at Lynn gym.

Just a reminder about the upcoming Red, White, and Blue Games! This special event supports our Backpack Food Program, which helps provide meals for students in need. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you there!

This year’s Red, White, and Blue Game will be held on October 17! The game supports our school’s Backpack Program. Admission that evening will be a donation to the program—either monetary or non-perishable food items. Check out the flyer for more details about the program and a list of suggested donation items.
