Hillcrest Elementary Students Celebrate Our Grandparents (Part 1)

September 23, 2025, is Parent and Community Night on the Lynn campus. The event will take place from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., with the public report beginning at 7:15 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there.

High school is having a blood drive tomorrow, we welcome parents and grandparents to come out to donate! All donors will get a prize from the Red Cross. Hillcrest Elementary Important Dates coming up:
This Friday, September 5th is Grandparents Day. Kindergarten students (and their older siblings) and their grandparents will eat at 10:15. 1st grade (and their older siblings) and their grandparents will eat at 11:00. 2nd grade at 11:30, 3rd & 4th grades at 12:00, and 5th & 6th grades at 12:30.
Tuesday, September 9th is our first Intramural Basketball game; gate opens at 4:30; 1st/2nd girls at 5:00, 1st/2nd boys at 5:30, 3rd/4th girls at 6:00, 3rd/4th boys at 6:30, 5th/6th girls at 7:00, and 5th/6th boys at 7:30. Game 2 is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 12.

Attention FBLA members and parents: Krispy Kreme Donut forms are due today. If your student forgot their form please tell them to bring it to Mrs. Brannon's room before school starts tomorrow morning. Orders will be turned in to Krispy Kreme at 8:30 tomorrow morning. Any orders later than that cannot be accepted. Thank you for your understanding!

High School had the first student of the month. This month teachers and staff were looking for those students who have been "All In" for learning and growth since the start of school. We had lots of students working hard and several nominated. Yesterday, Mrs. Angela's class enjoyed their reading outside.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are this Thursday, August 28, 3:45-6:30. All Kindergarten - 12th Grade conferences will be held in the multi-purpose building (gymnasium floor) on the elementary campus in Lynn. Also, there will be No School on Friday, August 29, nor Monday, September 1, for observance of Labor Day.

Mrs. Shelby's class has been busy learning how measurements are used in cooking. Great job!

Fourth graders Gavin Huckabee and Nash Hunter chose to save their SOAR tickets to purchase the privilege of reading to other classes. Today, they read to Kindergarten and Mrs. Baylee's 1st Grade.
