Changes to baseball schedule for Thursday May 26th at Midland. Team 1 9-10 boys play at 5:00 on the softball field. 9-10 boys team 2 will follow at 6:30. 7-8 boys play at 5 on the baseball field.
Due to the threat of severe weather, all baseball and softball games at Hillcrest and Cedar Ridge have been postponed. Games will be rescheduled at a later date.
The Hillcrest summer food program will begin tomorrow, Monday, May 23rd. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 - 8:30am with lunch served from from 11:00am until 1:00pm. Kids 18 and under eat free, adult meals are $2.25 for breakfast and $3.50 for lunch. Meals will be provided Monday through Friday throughout the summer.
He made his name on the baseball diamond!!! George Glenn, JR of Lynn HS, will be inducted into the Lawrence County Sports Hall of Fame on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Mabel-Gwinup Cafeteria on the campus of Williams Baptist University at 6:00pm. Come and celebrate this great evening with a 1st Class Banquet, awards presentation, and some great door-prize drawings with the Glenn family and other inductees. Gabby Hays, Jason Belcher, Angela Flippo will also be enshrined. 9-10 baseball boys will practice tomorrow 5/20 3:15 to 4:45. At the Lynn campus.
Due to a decent chance of rain Saturday, we have decided to make Thursday night our tournament and trophy night for T-Ball. We will have 3 games Thursday night. We will hand trophies out for each player. We encourage everyone to attend since this will be our last night! We will move the start times up to 5:00.

7:00- Winners of 1st two games.

This is an informational letter about summer school for those attending.
Bus Information
We are planning on running four (4) bus routes in the AM and PM. Bus routes will only be traveling on paved roads. We are still in the planning phase of this, so please contact me at shawn.rose@eagles1.k12.ar.us and let me know if your child will be riding the bus in the AM, PM, or both. Bus routes will travel from the campus at Strawberry to: Smithville, Lynn, Jesup, Saffell, Poughkeepsie, Nelsonville, and Hilltop; and traveling on HWY’s 25, 361, 230, 115, 117, 56, Nelsonville Rd. Grange Rd, and Pete Wasson Rd. Buses will arrive at the Strawberry campus at around 7:40AM each morning; after arriving, each student will have approximately four (4) hours of instruction, recess, and lunch before dismissing and departing at 1:00PM.
Car Rider Information
If your child is going to be a car rider, please drop him/her off at the NewTech building entrance (awning), it is located on the Hwy 230 side of the Strawberry campus, drop students off between 7:30AM-7:50AM. The students will eat breakfast in the cafeteria from 7:30-8:00. Afterward, each student will have approximately four (4) hours of instruction, recess, and lunch before dismissing at 1:00. The car pickup line is also at the NewTech building entrance (awning).
Hillcrest summer school begins Tuesday, June 7th, and will conclude Thursday, June 30th on the Strawberry campus/NewTech Building. Summer school is on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays only, from 8:00AM-1:00PM. Students will have a recess/physical activity period.
We will serve breakfast and lunch daily.

The Eagle’s Nest Summer Care Program will be open from May 23rd until August 10th. The program is open to all children who have had their 5th birthday and have not yet entered the 7th grade. Students will participate in a variety of learning activities incorporating literacy, math, and science hands-on FUN!! There will be daily indoor/outdoor physical activities/PE and independent play time. Art and Music activities will be scheduled weekly! Students will take several FIELD TRIPS during the summer program. A few scheduled trips will include swimming, movies, and bowling! The deadline to turn in donation tickets and money for the Hillcrest Elementary Athletics are due tomorrow morning. Please complete your ticket sales and return all money and tickets (sold and unsold) to school tomorrow. The live drawing will be at 1:00PM on the district’s Facebook page.
The Hillcrest Kindergarten and Sixth Grade Graduation will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, May 17th, in the multi-purpose facility on the elementary campus in Lynn. The Kindergarten Graduation is set to begin at 6:00PM, the Sixth Grade Graduation will follow at 7:00PM. Seating for the kindergarten graduation will be open. Seating for 6th grade will have assigned rows of ten, with extra seating in the bleachers, much like HS graduation.
The 11-12 Boys will practice at Lynn on Wednesday 12:30-2:00 and Thursday 3:15-4:30.
High School Academic and Athletic awards ceremony will be tomorrow, May 16th at 12:30pm in the Lynn Gym. Patrons are invited to attend the ceremony to honor our students. We will livestream the event on Facebook for those unable to attend.
Congratulations to the Hillcrest Senior Boys baseball team! They play in the 2nd round of the 1A State Tournament tomorrow against Mt Ida. Game starts 12:30pm at the Arkadelphia Youth Sports Complex. Go Screamin’ Eagles!

The Miss Hillcrest pageant will take place this Saturday at 5pm at the Lynn gym. Participants who would like to practice their walk may come at 3pm for a practice run. Practice is not mandatory. There will no admission, refreshments will be available for purchase.
