Attention: The Senior High District Tournament will be held February 16, 17, 19, and 20, 2026. We will take cash and senior citizen passes for this tournament.

The Regional Tournament will take place February 25–28, 2026. All spectators must have an electronic ticket for entry. Senior citizens will not be admitted free at the Regional Tournament.

7th, 8th Grade FBLA Parents: Please remember tomorrow is Mid Level District Competition at BRTC in Pocahontas. Students must wear business attire and should be ready to leave the Strawberry campus VIA bus at 8 a.m. All students will be back on campus before the end of the school day.

ATTENTION Basketball players, parents, and fans:
There will be NO games against Marked Tree tomorrow, Thursday, January 22, due to the unavailability of officials, or on Friday, January 23, due to the incoming winter storm. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. The games will be rescheduled for a later date.

The Marked Tree basketball games have been rescheduled and moved up to Thursday, January 22, 2026. Games will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Marked Tree.

Reminder: No school Monday, January 19th.

Pee Wee basketball games at Sloan-Hendrix tomorrow night, Monday, January 19th, have been postponed.

High School and Middle School archery teams will have practice on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 2:30–4:00 p.m. Practice will be held at the Strawberry Gym on the High School campus.

Please make arrangements for timely drop-off and pick-up. Thank you for your support of our archery teams.

Students will not have school on Friday, January 16, 2026; however, teachers will report to work that day.

There will be no school for students or staff on Monday, January 19, 2026, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Beta members who are attending the regional leadership summit will be selling Nothing Bundt Cakes until Feb. 2nd. If you would like to order, please call the high school and ask for Mrs. Heather or Mrs. Turner.

For safety reasons, all students must be dropped off in the mornings at the High School office building only. The lower building is designated for preschool drop-off only and should not be used for student drop-off.

We appreciate your cooperation as we work to keep all students safe.

Screamin' Eagle Fans: Brackets for the Jr. High Screamin' Eagle Invitational Tournament have been updated. The two games on the schedule for tonight begin at 5:00!

The High School will be conducting spring ATLAS Interim testing this week, Monday-Thursday. Students need to make sure their MacBooks are charged each night before. Testing groups/locations will be posted at each office.

During enrichment, Mr. Maxwell challenged students Tripp Blackburn and Gunner Baxter to design and build a bridge using only popsicle sticks—strong enough to hold at least 40 pounds. Through creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork, the boys not only met the challenge but exceeded expectations when their bridge was tested. We love seeing our students rise to the challenge and apply their learning in such hands-on ways!

Our district Gifted and Talented Coordinator, Mrs. Kara Britton, has been busy creating a website that houses GT documents, including nomination forms, and highlights the services available to our students. Attention Hillcrest Elementary Parents: Hillcrest Elementary classes will begin at 7:50 on Mondays, beginning this Monday, January 12th. Hillcrest HS will continue late starting Monday, elementary will not.
