The 2nd Quarter Elementary Awards Assembly is at 1:30PM, in Lynn Gym, this Friday, February 7th.
Senior high FBLA conference takes place tomorrow at BRTC in Pocahontas. The bus will leave strawberry campus at 8am and will return before school lets out. Due to the high water on Hwy 115/117 at Jesup:
Mrs. Angela Burrow's bus will be re-routed through hilltop thru Grange rd and should arrive at the Calamine store at approximately 3:45 and then to the Nelsonville T at 4:10. All parents need to meet her bus at those locations.
Mr. Tate's bus will be re-routed through hilltop thru Grange rd and turn around at the Calamine store at approximately 3:50, then continue his route. All students past the Calamine store may be 15-30 minutes late arriving home.

Mrs. Angela's bus will pick up at 7:00 at Nelsonville and at the end of Mize Campbell at 7:20 due to flooding.
Basketball Schedule update:
Tonight's games @Cedar Ridge will begin at 4:30 not 4:00 as our schedule indicates. Jr Girls, Jr Boys, Sr Girls and Sr Boys will be in action. Good luck to all teams!
The Screamin' Eagles will be taking on the Ridgefield Warriors tonight in the Eagles Nest. Games will tip at 4:00 with a Jr Boys "B" game, followed by the Jr Girls, Jr Boys and Sr Boys. Little Dribblers will also be making their last performance of the year. Big night ahead, look forward to seeing a big crowd!

7th and 8th grade FBLA members should be prepared to be on the bus and leaving Strawberry campus by 8am tomorrow morning. Lunch will be provided by the club. We will return by 1 so that basketball players can catch the bus to KIPP.
Attention seniors and parents! Tonight is FAFSA night from 5-7 in the gym lobby at Lynn. All parents need to bring or have access to their 2023 tax returns. Financial aid representatives will be on hand to answer questions so please stop by!

FBLA Spring Conference takes place this month for all members grades 7-12. Mid-level conference takes place on the 24th and senior high on the 31st. Students will travel by bus on both days and return before the school day ends. Business attire is required. Permission forms have been sent home with students. Please get in touch with Mrs. Brannon with any questions or concerns.
The Screamin' Eagle Jr Invitational Tournament will resume with Semi-Final games Saturday, January 18. Schedule is as followed:
4:00 Sloan-Hendrix vs Maynard Jr Boys
5:00 Sloan-Hendrix vs Maynard Jr Girls
6:00 Hillcrest vs Salem Jr Boys
7:00 Salem vs Corning Jr Girls
Should be some great Jr high games so come out and join us. We will determine when the Finals will be played after the conclusion of Saturday's games.

The Hillcrest Lady Screamin' Eagles will take on the Corning Lady Bobcats tonight at the Eagles Nest. The 7th Grade girls will tip at 5:00 followed by the Jr Girls and Sr Girls.

All Hillcrest buses will run NORMAL routes; except for Mrs. Angela Burrow's bus tomorrow, Friday, January 17. Mr. Tate will stop at the Calamine General Store to pick up any of Mrs. Angela's bus riders that can get there.
Hillcrest buses will be running state highways only; for both AM and PM routes, tomorrow, Thursday, January 16.
Mr. Rose’s bus route will begin at 7:10 at Hilltop.
Coach Durham’s bus route will begin at 7:10 at the Cord store.
Mr. Josh Smith’s bus route will begin at 7:15 at the old Saffell store.
Mr. Clifton’s bus route will begin at 7:10 at the Powhatan Post Office.
Mr. Tate’s bus route will begin at 6:50 at the old Poughkeepsie store, 7:10 at Foothills General Store in Calamine; Mr. Tate will be picking up Mrs. Angela Burrow’s bus riders as well.
Mr. Goff’s bus route will begin at 7:15 at the Smithville Methodist Church.
Hillcrest High School will host a FAFSA night on Tuesday, Jan. 21 from 5-7 p.m. in the lobby of the gym at Lynn during the basketball games. All seniors are encouraged to come and bring their parents to get assistance in filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Parents will need the following information on hand: 2023 tax return.

All Hillcrest campuses will be open and in session this Monday, January 20, at the normal “late start Monday” time (instruction starts at 8:20 at elementary and 8:30 at high school). This is the make-up day (snow day#1) for last Friday, January 10.
